The Bogus Brothers get invited to play at a wide range of events and it was a great honour to perform recently for the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire at their 50th Wedding anniversary party at Chatsworth House.
With nearly two thousand guests that included family, friends and staff the event was a grand affair in a huge marquee supplied by our friends at Peppers Marquees (just down the road from us!) situated on the back lawn surrounding the fountain at Chatsworth House. It was a lovely sunny day and the party was certainly one to remember with the Duchess telling the band after our performance that we were "the icing on the cake".
Heres and extract from the thank you letter we recieved from Chatsworth for the event.
Dear Tony and Boys,
Saturday night was a very special night for Chatsworth and, as you saw, there were many elements that needed to come together. You played an extremely important part in that and brought the party to a rousing climax and sent our guests home very happy indeed. I cannot thank you all enough. You were simply brilliant. I think you could tell how much everyone enjoyed it - but especially the family. The way you brought them into it all was just perfect. Quite aside from all that, you sounded (and looked) amazing.
The Bogus Brothers were everything I hoped for (and had heard about) and much, much more. Thank you all for a superb show and for all the care and attention to detail that you put into it. I am sure you were exhausted - especially having to travel home afterwards - but I cannot thank you enough for what you did to make a night for Chatsworth to remember and to add to its long history of remarkable and extraordinary events.
